“From large advertising agencies as a creative director to delivery rooms as a doula, Wadi’s life has been marked by creativity and the desire to connect with people on a deeper level. When she became a mother, she discovered her true calling: accompanying women in one of the most transformative moments of their lives. The experience of gestating and giving birth at home to her first daughter Lola awakened in her a deep connection with life and a genuine desire to accompany other women on this wonderful journey. Her sensitivity and creativity led her to become one of the most recognized doulas in Mexico where she lived for 20 years, creating safe and loving spaces for future families, as well as accompanying them to celebrate maternity ceremonies, births and the first moon. I remember the first time I saw Wadi accompany a pregnant couple. The way she held them, listened to them and accompanied them on this very special journey moved me deeply. Her ability to create those spaces of love was contagious and inspiring. I knew at that moment that together we could create something truly magical. “It is worth mentioning that I met Maia more than 16 years ago with two enormous bellies and almost identical dates of probable birth. Lola and Milo, from somewhere in the stars, were already beginning to weave the threads of what would be a transformative and beautiful friendship. Meeting Maia was like discovering a hidden treasure. Her connection with the spiritual and her ability to create sacred spaces moved me from the first moment. I saw how the inexorable magic of Mexico unfolded for her a path of consciousness that led her to discover herself as a medicine woman. It was on that inner journey that she discovered her true vocation: to accompany people in their most important moments. Maia came to the world of ceremonies, guided by the beautiful mystery of life when Diana and Manu, whom curiously I had already had the privilege of accompanying at the birth of their first two children, asked her to marry them. Knowing their story and everything that it meant for them to take this step in their lives, a different and authentic ceremony was created where each element was full of deep meaning for them. At the end of the ceremony, Maia was approached by the grandmother of the family, who being very religious did not share Diana and Manu's desire to have a secular ceremony, and with moist eyes she said to her: "I hesitated to come and yet today at 70 years old I want to tell you that you gave me the most loving ceremony of my entire life, thank you!" From there the magic rolled from mouth to mouth and continued creating memorable, transcendental experiences, full of heart and meaning for women and couples. Today, back in Argentina, our homeland, we bring together this knowledge and experience to share and enjoy them with those who wish to honor a transcendent moment and celebrate it with a deep sense of love.
